The new window coverings and blinds in our home are bringing great joy to the occupants. I love having a reason to propel me towards accommplishing a goal. It is easy to just go along day-to-day in the same old rut.

Our gatherings this weekend were quite eventful. To all the family and friends that came I send out a grand "Thanks, All!" We had around 70 people at our home for the Graduation Celebration. The food was fabulous. The ice cream was flowing. The company was wonderful to have over. We thank you for helping us to celebrate a milestone in Joshua's life. He is eagerly finishing up the last 10 days of work for his Eagle Scout award and Duty to God award. We'll let you know when the ceremony for those will take place. As for college, he will be at UVU this fall. Perhaps on to BYU spring semester. He has enjoyed UVU thus far, and they have the programs he is currently interested in pursuing. Josh is just trying to get through his generals before the mission right now. UVU is great for that purpose.

I'm reading Dave Ramsey's "More Than Enough: The 10 Keys to Changing Your Financial Destiny." It is like reading Steven R. Covey through the eyes of a financial counselor. They both talk about values/principles as the foundation of life. This is consistent with our LDS beliefs. I am a big fan of the four values labeled integrity, respect, love, and work. I feel they are the basis for any relationship to succeed, be it a relationship with money, spouse, children, family, friends, etc.

Deep thoughts, ey? Well, it's been a week. We are at a crossroads for many things in our family right now. The journey is so exciting. We will just keep on trying to follow in the footsteps of Jesus and enjoy what lies in the path.
