Much has happened in the past 3 months. Much ado, bliss, owey, and ahh. There has been sadness a plenty, kisses galore, and wrestling. What has not been available in abundance is blogging effort. Just can't seem to muster it up. I'd much rather sit and crochet, read, or clean without thinking hard about it these days. In my zeal to relax and enjoy more, I've found a joy in not sharing for a while with my online presence.
Soon I hope to share a few new decorations my hands have cooked up over the break. Valentine's Day is right around the corner, you know. I can't wait to DECORATE. Don't expect too much, mind you. This is still just little old me, the non-decorator. But perhaps a small something here and another small something in the corner over yonder of my home will make for a bright change and a cheerful-heart feeling this holiday.
Here are a few shots of some of what we've been up to.
| Ben & Jo got all decoraty on their door for Christmas. |
| Here is an up close shot of the story they wrote for the door. |
| It was such a happy sight at the end of the hall as I went off to bed each night of December. |
| Oh, ya! Josh took the littles to visit Mater. |
| Jo, my sweet littlest son. He can be soooo angelic.
| But he thinks this is the very best pose of all. I call it maniacal. |
| Jo went from this . . . |
| . . . to this in one day. |
| He lost his first tooth. The tooth was completely lost as he swallowed it. Jo came running in to me cheering, "I lost my tooth! I lost my tooth!" Oh, so happy was he. |
| Most of the coloring is from the hot chocolate and the candy cane he had been eating at the time. It looks worse than it really was. There weren't even any tears. |
| I made a little hooky jar to hold my cell phone. |
Made an infinity scarf for a someone special's birthday. |
| Christmas piano recital for 4 fabulous students. |
| And happiest of all, to have all of my boys home for Christmas. |
We have happy news in the Tae Kwon Do department of life. Two teens earned their black belts, one 18 year old earned his red belt, and the last three of our group advanced to green belt. There is just something exhilarating about kicking and punching and sweating and breathing hard that I love.
The tile is all up in the kitchen. My master finish carpenter has done a fabulous job on the designer kitchen. When I'm in there I feel like I'm in another world.
| Love the window with the majestic mountain view. It's fun to cook in my kitchen. Yea!!! |
| For Charlie. We love you. |
| Here is a peek into what I'm cooking up for Valentine's Day.
| Round and round we go. |
| Happy naptime to you. |
